Cinematic Text-to-Video with FLUX 3

Black Forest Labs' flagship video model. FLUX 3 generates 5-20 second clips with synchronized audio from a plain-language prompt — the model interprets and expands your description before generation, so director-level results don't require director-level prompting. Output at 720p or 1080p in eight aspect ratios from 21:9 ultrawide to 9:16 vertical.

What makes FLUX 3 different

Black Forest Labs' first video model

FLUX made Black Forest Labs the reference point for open-quality image generation, and FLUX 3 brings that pedigree to video. From one text prompt it generates a complete clip — picture and synchronized audio together — at 720p or 1080p. The prompt is interpreted and expanded by the model before generation, so a plain sentence about the scene, the action, and the camera is enough.

Up to 20 seconds in one generation

Duration runs from 5 to 20 seconds in one-second steps — one of the longest single-shot ranges of any current video model. Twenty seconds is enough for a full scene beat rather than a loop, and because billing is per second of output ($0.17/s at 720p, $0.29/s at 1080p), you pay exactly for the length you pick.

Synchronized audio at no extra charge

FLUX 3 generates ambient sound, speech, and effects matched to what happens on screen, and the audio toggle doesn't change the price — a 5-second 720p clip is $0.85 with or without sound. Several rival models bill audio as a surcharge rung; here it's simply part of the output. Turn it off if you want a silent clip for your own soundtrack.

Draft on FLUX 3 Draft, finish on FLUX 3

The companion FLUX 3 Draft model renders 720p previews at $0.06 per second — roughly a third of the standard rate. A practical Scenetra workflow: iterate prompts on a Draft node until the shot works, then run the winning prompt through FLUX 3 at 720p or 1080p for the final. Both models sit on the same board, billed at provider cost with 0% markup.

Frequently asked questions

What is FLUX 3?+

FLUX 3 is Black Forest Labs' video generation model — the video sibling of the FLUX image family. It generates 5-20 second clips with synchronized audio from a text prompt, at 720p or 1080p, in eight aspect ratios including 21:9 ultrawide and 9:16 vertical. On Scenetra it runs as a node in the visual workflow editor.

How much does FLUX 3 cost?+

$0.17 per second at 720p and $0.29 per second at 1080p, billed on output duration. A 5-second 720p clip is $0.85; a 10-second 1080p clip is $2.90. Audio is included in those rates, not billed separately. Scenetra sells every model at provider cost with 0% markup.

Does FLUX 3 generate audio?+

Yes — synchronized ambient sound, speech, and effects are generated with the video, and turning audio on doesn't change the price. There's also a toggle to generate a silent clip if you plan to add your own soundtrack.

How long can a FLUX 3 video be?+

Anywhere from 5 to 20 seconds, selectable in one-second steps. That 20-second ceiling is unusually long for a single generation — most video models top out at 10-12 seconds — and since billing is per second, a longer clip simply costs proportionally more.

What is FLUX 3 Draft and when should I use it?+

FLUX 3 Draft is the fast, low-cost tier of the same model: 720p only, at $0.06 per second — about a third of the standard 720p rate. Use it to iterate on prompts and motion cheaply, then re-run the final prompt on FLUX 3 for full quality. Both are available as separate nodes on a Scenetra board.

Can I try FLUX 3 free online?+

Yes — new Scenetra accounts get free welcome credits and a 7-day trial that cover your first generations. After that it's pay-per-generation from your credit balance, with no subscription gate: a 5-second draft costs $0.30 and a 5-second standard 720p clip $0.85.

How should I prompt FLUX 3?+

Write plainly: describe the scene, the action, the camera movement, and any sound you want to hear. FLUX 3 interprets and expands the prompt before generation, so you don't need keyword-stuffed prompt engineering. On a Scenetra board it's cheap to iterate — test variations on FLUX 3 Draft, then promote the best prompt to the standard model.
